For insurers, TPAs, hospitals and health platforms

Lab report data extraction: every value, unit and range as structured data.

Lab reports arrive from hundreds of laboratories, each with its own layout. YIRA MedSense reads them, extracts each test with its value, unit and the report's own reference range, and flags values outside that range, so reviewers see what matters first.

FAQ

Common questions

What is lab report data extraction?

Lab report data extraction reads a laboratory report, from a scan, PDF or photo, and turns each test into structured data: test name, result, unit and reference range, so systems and reviewers can use it without re-typing.

How does MedSense flag abnormal lab values?

It compares each result with the reference range printed on the same report and flags values outside it, for example ALT 52.19 U/L marked High. Flags are prompts for clinical review, not diagnoses.

Does it work with lab reports from different labs?

Yes. MedSense is built to read reports from many laboratories with different layouts and return them in one structured format.

Can it read scanned or photographed lab reports?

Yes. Scanned PDFs, digital PDFs and mobile photos are supported.

Where does the extracted data go?

MedSense sends structured JSON by API to TPA portals, insurer claims systems, hospital EMRs and analytics databases.

Can MedSense run inside our own infrastructure?

Yes. Client-managed deployment is available, so documents can stay within your environment. Hosting and data residency are agreed per contract.
